Shiuli Saree
The Shiuli saree is handwoven in luxuriously soft handspun cotton and naturally-dyed by hand in a rich indigo. It draws inspiration from the 'shiuli' flower, a herald of both autumn and the festive season India. The saree features unique jamdani motifs, designed to look like the 'shiuli' flower, scattered carefully throughout. This arrangement is reminiscent of how the flowers grow in clusters and are carried individually by the wind until finally they fall back down to the earth, found bunched together again. These motifs are created using fine silver zari and yellow threads, creating a slight contrast. The jamdani placement creates a rhythmic pattern on the pallu, which is finished with zari stripes and tassels, for added character. With its thoughtful design, this cotton jamdani saree is a beautiful mix of drama and sophistication – perfect for complimenting you through formal occasions.
There may be slight variations in weave and colour from the images. These natural variations are intrinsic to handloom saree craftsmanship, making each piece unique and beautiful.
