Ulka Brishti Saree

The Ulka Brishti Saree is handwoven with fine handspun cotton yarns that are and naturally-dyed by hand, coming together to create a rich indigo. Inspired by celestial forms, the saree features diamond jamdani motifs of various sizes arranged thoughtfully throughout. These jamdani motifs appear to overlap at certain points, mimicking meteorites as they break apart when travelling through the heavens. The jamdani motifs are complemented by stripes, which represent the light trails left by these heavenly bodies. Accented by fine silver zari in the weave, the saree also has subtle tonal stripes for added visual dimension. The pallu is finished by a block of taupe and zari stripes and tassels, for artisanal charm. With its soft cotton drape, delicate jamdani motifs, and meticulous design, this cotton handloom saree is the perfect marriage of heritage textile and contemporary design.
