Udambara Saree
The Udumbara Saree is handwoven in fine handspun cotton and naturally-dyed in a stunning forest green. This saree draws inspiration from the mythical "udumbara" flowers that bloom once in a millennium and symbolise the dawn of a new age. It features an intricate jamdani pattern of clusters of flowers brought together by branches with delicate leaves, all handwoven in golden zari. These are accented by vibrant bursts of blue and pink in the centre of the flowers and a lime green selvedge running along the saree. The traditional jamdani motifs are thoughtfully arranged to create a symmetrical pattern, showcasing thoughtful design. The pallu is finished with stripes in golden zari and a dark blue, which add visual depth, as well as tassels, which add artisanal detail. Sophisticated and graceful, this artisan handloom saree is a great choice for festive-wear.
There may be slight variations in weave and colour from the images. These natural variations are intrinsic to handloom saree craftsmanship, making each piece unique and beautiful.
